Alhamdulillah!
First of all, I am so grateful to Allah that He helped make this dream a reality. Having a business is a part of the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and it is one that should be encouraged in our youth and elders alike. A business not only helps you grow and become responsible, but also gives back to your community in many ways. Above all, it is a way to practice our faith further by following the rules of business and trade illustrated by the Quran and Sahih Sunnah, Insha’Allah. My parents have encouraged me to start young and learn as much as I can. I explored many different ventures, but finally settled on something that I know and love!
I began wearing the Hijab when I was twelve and have always found it difficult to find Hijabs and accessories that matched my style and personality at affordable prices.
I am now fourteen and with the help of my mother, I launched Liberty Hijab to help other girls and women discover their unique style in the modest clothing market, Insha’Allah. Liberty, because I have always felt that the Hijab has granted me Liberation from the flashy trends and revealing fashions that are meant to objectify and demean women not empower or elevate them as they claim.
Allah wants to protect us and elevate us, He wants others to respect us and consider our character and intellect, not our bodies and the latest wayward fashion trends. I want to represent this freedom and submission to Allah’s will in my work with Liberty Hijab and in my daily life.
I have been working very hard to bring you unique, yet tasteful styles at affordable prices, Insha’Allah. I am so happy to share this journey with you.
